New targets for public sector in ‘apprenticeships revolution’

Plans to make public sector employers take on more apprentices were announced today by skills minister Nick Boles.

The Enterprise Bill proposes that public bodies with at least 250 employees would be required to ensure that a minimum of 2.3 per cent of their recruits each year are apprentices.
